There is a growing movement behind understanding the impact of trauma on our community and advocating for Allegany County to become a trauma-informed community. As the result of a Health Foundation for Western and Central New York grant, Ardent Solutions, partnering with the Trauma-Informed Community Throughout Allegany County (TICTAC) Coalition, to support 30 professionals representing 26 different organizations to participate in an intensive learning collaborative facilitated by the University at Buffalo School of Social Work and the Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care.
What was expected of TIC Champions? Each Champion committed to: • Complete an initial 1.5-hour online course during the month of January 2023. • Attend an initial 4-hour in-person kick-off training on January 26, 2023. • Participate in a 1-hour coaching meeting/call each month from February - December 2023. • Attend a wrap-up training in December 2023. • Attend a final meeting with the previous Champion team in December 2023. • Continued engagement with the Trauma-Informed Community Throughout Allegany County (TICTAC) Coalition after the collaborative.
